Hans Rodvik, Owner & Principal

Hans Rodvik, a life-long Alaskan, has a decade of experience producing winning communication campaigns, shaping public policy, and providing strategic advice to senior executives across public and private entities in the 49th state. Hans and his beautiful wife, Brittany, are blessed with two incredible children - Theodore & Annika. He lives in Eagle River, after growing up in the Sand Lake/Jewel Lake neighborhood of Anchorage. Hans is a proud graduate of Dimond High School and the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He is a passionate outdoorsman and loves to hunt, fish, and enjoy Alaska's wild spaces. Additionally, Hans has 14 years of commercial salmon fishing experience and is a licensed Realtor in Alaska.

Professional experience

  • Assistant Director of Communications, Anchorage School District - Alaska's largest and most diverse district serving over 43,000 students and employing 6,000+ staff. Managed internal communications and led government and legislative relations for ASD.
  • Deputy Communications Director for Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson - Responsible for supporting all communications initiatives for the Mayor's Office and served as Municipal spokesman.
  • Special Assistant to Governor Mike Dunleavy - Managed digital media communication, crafted regulations and legislation, and executed statewide public engagement tour.
  • Alaska Legislature serving Senate Majority Leader Coghill and House Minority Leader Millett - Guided multiple bills through the legislature that were signed into law by two Governors.
  • Alaska Support Industry Alliance - Executed successful advocacy campaign to prevent major tax increase on the oil and gas industry, helped launch the AK Headlamp blog, and supported 500+ member companies through dozens of events and advocacy work.
  • Americans for Prosperity - Served as the Alaska chapter's first Field Director where I recruited, trained, and led volunteers in conducting grassroots campaigns to include a U.S. Senate race, Anchorage Mayoral election, and effort to stop Medicaid expansion in the Legislature.
